PAPER MANAGEMENT: Added a new function on the rollstand station to report paper waste that occurs while paper is in process of being used. This is generally for feeder waste on sheet-fed presses, however, this may be used for roll stock as well. This waste is lumped in with slab waste on associated reports.

PAPER MANAGEMENT: Altered paper weight calculation based on paper type by using different basis size for Cover, Book, Index and Tag stock.

PAPER MANAGEMENT: Corrected a number of problems associated with using an Input Sheeter on a sheet-fed press.

Changed the ordering of forms when multiple forms are open at the same time. Forms are ordered into layers, minimized with main screen and moved with main screen when in their docked position. Moveable forms may be moved independently and then re-docked by moving back to their original position.

Employee name was being entered into PalletLog. Corrected to place Employee ID instead. This was OK prior to April 2005. Employee name will still print on Load Ticket.

Enabled "Set Scale Waste" option with multiple delivery press. This also works when multiple deliveries share one scale. The "Auto Set Scale" option can now be used in this situation to set scale waste when M/R is complete.

Added "Auto Start Run" option to use inactivity of waste scale to trigger run mode. When the difference between the gross count and the scale waste is equal to the parameter specified, the system automatically places the press into a run status. The second parameter is used during a restart in the same manner.

Example: Auto Start Run = Yes, 1500, 500

When using GSE scales, you can now use the Motion indicator on the scale to derive stability rather than average the last 3 reading. This serves to make the system more responsive to changes in signature waste without having to increase the poll rate. Parameter is "Use Scale Motion = Yes" and should be placed in the "Pressman.ini" file. Scales must be re-programmed to activate this change.

P-Admin.exe - Version 6.5.10
Report display horizontal scroll bar was not working when screen resolution was set to 800 x 600. This has been fixed.

Erratic behavior of vertical scroll bar. Page was being skipped when attempting to go to the next or previous page. This has been fixed.

Manual entries in MR-1 and MR-2 could be categorized as downtime in the PressStats table and on Shift Summary Report. Corrected this to compare op-code in manual entry to those flagged as MR-1 or MR-2 in the OperCode table.

Modified system so that Stop Analysis reports can be run by crew in addition to by shift.

If press is stopped after "Count Complete", the system creates a "Wash-Up" entry in the "Shift Log". If the press is then restarted to produce additional good product, P DAQ does not allow counting of good product. Modified system to create "Restart Running", "Count Complete" and "Wash-up" entries in the "Shift Log".

Getting wrong customer name on Load Ticket when job data is not present in "JobSched" and "Job" tables. Changed program to check "JobStats" table first. Corrected potential problem which could cause the wrong "JobStats" record to be updated while P DAQ is running. This would most likely show up as having incorrect data on the performance charts.

When using Laser Scanner or Product Tracking, signatures on conveyor are not being included in good count. Also, when running Zero M/R jobs, Load Tickets are short by the number of signatures on conveyor. Corrected both problems by including signatures on conveyor in good count. If signatures on conveyor are dumped, job may still end up short.

Added ability to use Piece Weight Scale connected to TIM2B. The Piece Weight Scale can automatically set piece weight on an associated waste scale. This option eliminates the TT4, thereby reducing cost when using a single scale. When more than one delivery is present, a separate piece weight scale may be required which could be more expensive than sharing a single scale connected to a TT4.

Added the ability to display a warning message when using a floor scale and the operator does not perform an actual piece weight calculation. This feature is controlled by a new parameter in the Constants section of the "Pressman.ini" file. The parameter is defined as follows: 

This parameter instructs P-DAQ to display the specified message if 500 good impressioins have been produced and the operator has not yet performed an actual piece weight calculation. The count can be any positive number where zero is the default and prevents the message from being displayed. The message is optional and the default is what is shown above.

When manually changing the status of a Sign-on or Sign-off entry in the ShiftLog, the system would sometimes plug an OperCode into the transaction. This could possibly cause the ShiftDetail Report to show the wrong Net counts at the beginning of the shift. This condition could also be reflected in Primac. Since these transactions are ignored in the reporting system, the P-DAQ reports were not affected.

Manual Entry could be incorrect if after selecting a row in the shift log and prior to pressing the ADD button, a new record is added to the Shift Log. The added entry could be a Shift Change, Press Stop, Count Complete etc.

Changed form selection from JobSched table to use Job, Form, Run, Rerun rather than sequence #.

Added parameter in the "ShopFloor" section of the Pressman.ini file called "Report Idle Time". This parameter determines weather the "Default Idle Code" gets transferred to the cost accounting system. This was done automatically in previous versions. The default is No. If you want the Idle code to be transferred to Cost Accounting, you MUST enter the following parameter in the Pressman.ini file. Report Idle Time = Yes

Changed blanket wash delay logic to take conveyer signatures into account. This enables the blanket wash delay to operate correctly when the press has multiple conveyers of differing lengths. Also added the capability to turn the counters back on after a specified number of signatures have been dumped after a blanket wash. In the Pressman.ini file, the first number represents the number of impressions needed to deliver the first bad signature from the last color unit to the end of the folder, the second button represents the number of impressions before the counters are turned back on. The second number may be left blank. To invoke, enter the following into the Pressman.ini file for each press:

Re-wrote zone control code to emulate actual conveyer motion. Added new parameter to the Pressman.ini file to define the minimum conveyer speed when the press stops. Users will notice that P–DAQ will continue counting after the press stops. The system will stop counting when the last signature on the conveyer is delivered to the stacker.

Corrected problem, operator can now add manual entry after "System Stopped" and "System Reset" events.

Added ability to send non-chargeable entries to Primac for "System Stopped" and "System Reset" events. Use "Default Idle Code" parameter defined in the Pressman.ini file to specify the op-code to be sent.

Corrected problem on Shift Detail Report caused by EmpLog table entries becoming out of sequence.

When using a Laser Scanner to count good signatures, reduce M/R waste based on signatures on conveyer. The conveyer signatures will be treated as run waste until the press stops. These signatures will then be counted as good thereby reducing the waste.

Added parameter driven warning message when pressing STOP button when net count < 100% and there are signatures present in the stacker or on the pallet. Message reads "Incomplete Lift/Pallet, please adjust or end pallet". The options are: "Ignore"- used when aborting the form, and "Cancel", used to undo the STOP request, allowing the sigs in the stacker to be put on the pallet and the pallet to be ended, thereby producing a load ticket. To invoke, enter the following into the Pressman.ini file for each press:

Added a warning message when starting a form that has already been run. The form is considered previously run if MR-2 time is present. This option may be turned off or force error under parameter control. The options in the Pressman.ini files are as follows:

System will now automatically purge EmpLog table data after 14 days when the table is not being transferred to the server by DataSync.
